This program is designed by Soroptimist International of the Americas to give girls the tools they need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty, violence, and abuse.

 

SI Marysville-Yuba City is working to bring programs twice a year to high schools in both Marysville and Yuba City, usually for a 4–6-hour session on a Saturday.

The modules include 1) Career opportunities, 2) Setting and achieving goals, 3) Overcoming obstacles to success, and 4) Moving forward after setbacks or failures.

Involvement in this committee consists of a committee chair and interested club members. The committee coordinates with school counselors and staff to identify students to attend, reviews the Dream It Be It curriculum, sets up the logistics, and contacts prospective speakers.
